I love matching people with homes. I live in Swampscott and think this seashore community is a great city alternative. I moved here from Boston, where I resided for 20 years. I loved it but now feel as though I'm on vacation every day...and want to share that with others. www.KarenFerro.com REALTOR®

We hired Karen as soon as we began house-hunting, and she was right there beside us throughout the entire process. She scheduled house showings for us, helped us write up an offer on the house we ultimately purchased, and walked us through the rest of the process through closing. (The reason the "amount we spent" above is listed as $0 is because, as the buyers, we didn’t pay anything -- Karen's commission came out of the total we paid to the sellers. But even if we'd had to spend that money ourselves, Karen would have been worth every penny!) Karen was everything we could have hoped for in a realtor! She was incredibly responsive, worked extremely hard on our behalf, and was a pleasure to work with. I was really impressed by how she was clearly trying to help us find the house that would be best for us. I remember on a second visit to a house that was significantly more expensive than the house we were leaning towards, Karen commented that we really ought to LOVE the bigger house if we were going to be paying that much more for it – she sensed that we weren’t quite enthusiastic enough about it (you’d have never known from interacting with her that realtors work on commission!). Karen was very responsive to all our requests: emails and phone calls were always returned promptly, regardless of whether it was late at night on a weeknight or in the middle of a Sunday afternoon. And even though she’s always on call, Karen still seems to genuinely enjoy what she does. The house we ultimately purchased involved a seller’s agent who was both incompetent and unprofessional, yet Karen managed to strike the perfect balance between advocating fiercely on our behalf while maintaining a high level of professionalism and always taking the high ground whenever we had to deal with the unpleasant seller’s agent. We had a very short time between when our offer on the house was accepted and our closing date, and Karen was great at following up with others involved in the process to make sure that they were moving along according to the timeline we needed. Considering what a stressful process this was, Karen’s positive outlook throughout was also much appreciated. What a gem! |
