Miss Homebuyer or Mr. Homeseller is often rightfully wary of real estate agents. You know how bad news travels quickly, and stories of real estate agents who did a sloppy job or a negligent job are too common. When I got my license, and joined my local board of Realtors, I determined I would be truly different in an excellent way. I always return calls, I make calls to my sellers every week, and often after showings to give them the feedback they are anxious for. Returning and making calls is part of my Communication Guarantee, which promises that if you don't hear from me like you think you should, you can fire me! Never had that happen, by the way. I do not leave marketing to chance; instead, I have developed a 160 point marketing program to make sure I am continually evaluating my advertising efforts. I have a unique checklist for each phase of the homebuying/homeselling process to keep me on track. It is no fun getting to closing and realizing a survey was required and not done! And perhaps most importantly, I help my sellers price their homes to sell in an optimal time frame, and help my buyers to get good value for their dollars. My clients agree, sometimes after suffering through six months with another agent, I am as good as my word, and I get the job done.
Help is on the way for first-time homebuyers! Being an educator at heart, I love working with first-time homebuyers, and helping them work through the process with confidence. First-timers are the most likely to have "buyer's regret" and think---oh, my goodness, should we really be doing this? I have gotten pretty good at calming those fears and reminding first-timers why they chose they house they chose, and how wonderful it can be to individualize a home to your liking. At the other end of the spectrum, I have had the precious privilege of helping elderly couples move out of their homes into assisted living situations. This calls for much patience, and tact, and empathy for the transition. Having an elderly mother myself, I am aware of the questions and concerns these folks feel leaving a beloved family home. Other homebuyers and sellers I have worked with have chosen me through referral, and through exposure to my energetic marketing plan.
Realtors in Texarkana have to be twice as competent, since we serve two states! I am proud to serve Texans and Arkansans in my down to earth style, often making life-long friends as I do.
