Julienne Brown and business partner Merle-Dean Sanchez both have over 30 years experience in design. We combined our talents and find we just "click" to make a space the best it can be. We work for Realtors, builders and homeowners to stage homes for sale (both occupied and vacant), help clients "settle in" after a move, or give a "no-cost decorating" one day home makeover. Most of the homes we have staged have sold very quickly after we perform our magic!
In addition, Julienne has experience in landscape design, painting, faux painting and home textile design and creation. She is also a professional photographer, marketing her landscape photos on note cards as well as in larger formats.
Merle-Dean Sanchez has a background in art education and an extensive knowledge of color and design. She has been a noted professional make-up artist and image consultant for many years. Her design accomplishments include set design for TV and theater.
When an occupied home is for sale, we are generally called in by the Realtor to do a thorough analysis of the home, including written comments, which we provide for the homeowner. Sometimes that is all that is necessary. Often, however, we are called back to finish the staging once the homeowner has completed the suggested tasks. This usually requires furnishings, artwork and collectibles being re-arranged to better show off the property. The comment we most often get is "My home looks so great now, maybe I don't want to move!" For this reason, we recommend calling us in to re-design even if you are NOT planning to move!
When staging a vacant home, we set up "vignettes", or little pockets of interest to make the home cozy and appear lived in. Rather than bringing in lots of large pieces of furniture (and requiring clients to rent items), we set up arrangements to accent the positive features of the home, while drawing attention away from flaws.
Our Color Analysis consultation includes a Color Personality assessment to determine the preferences of the homeowner(s). Many clients have enjoyed our assistance in narrowing down their color selection from the vast collection of choices.
