My name is Janie Miller. My husband (30+ years) and I both have lived in or around the Austin area for most of our lives, and our families before us. We have watched it change from a small town in the 1960"s, into a major city of the new millenium. While not always agreeing with the changes, this is our home. We have raised two daughters here and they both live in the Austin area. Now our grandson is being raised here also. The Austin and surrounding areas are rich in history and culture, also in lakes, parks, wildlife and natural history. This is a wonderful place to raise a family, as there is always something happening around the area for the very young or the older crowd or some-where in the middle. Maybe all at the same time.
