We are home to one of the highest number of historic architectual designed homes in Alabama.  A city that onced boasted over 30,000 residents that is now coming back alive and re-growing through tourism, plays, hunting, and historic scenery  We are still small and quaint having only about 3,000 residents with new people arriving daily to want to slow down - put a rocker on the front porch - turn off the ole TV and see how it feels to get to know your neighbors and relax after a long day at work!.  Our area is historic homes or buildings calling out for renovators for some homes and others just need someone to appreciate the novation!   In the last two years people have moved here from Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Arizona, Texas, Virginia and Belize (etc)..  Our lives are slower here but we are less than an hour from major shopping and numerous universities.  We have a growing venue in Tourism - which expands with each new transplantee coming here.  Look at our beautiful town on our chamber site usacoc.com or our tourism site unionspringsalabama.com

One of our newest "transplants" came here from Virginia, bought one of our restored Painted Lady Victorian homes.  He then opened an Antique store which he named "Somewhere in Time Antiques" .  That pretty much sums up our attitude of a slower life - had my many before the turn of the century.  When its comes to the pleasures of the world -- Come on by for some Southern Hospitality and some "sweet tea" -- its really about knowing your neighbor.  Get up in the mornings and walk our streets among the historic downtown buildings -- join us -- share your vision of growth for a town with so much history!

We specialize in bringing people to their dream historic home.  HISTORIC HOMES abound here and we seek out folks wanting to renovate one of our local treasures or purchase one fully renovated.  Homes range here from Antebellum, Victorian, Gothic, Federal, Tutor, Eastlake, and even some modern homes have recently been built here.   If you love old homes -- you will love Union Springs!  Not only are the homes old but the downtown is on the National Historic Register and is lined with historic buildings of character!  We still have a few left!!  Don't wait - join the slower life.  If you need busy -- its only 35 minutes away up highway 110 (commonly known at Vaughn Road) to Montgomery.  Auburn/Opelka, Troy or Eufaula are only 45 mintues and you can be in Columbus Georgia in 60 minutes.  We have all the amenities here in town with easy access to the major metros any direction!

I moved to this area more than 6 years ago.  We own not only an old Victorian home but also the old "Josephine" hotel building.  We are continually working on renovations on both.  A Realtor for more than 16 years, I currently serve as the President of the local Chamber of Commerce and a member of the local Planning Commission.  I am a state approved Real Estate Instructor.  My husband and I are both prior Air Force and I have practiced as an Registered Nurse over 15 years, but currently spend all my time inviting people to consider making their home in Union Springs.

You can call me most of the time on my cell phone or just drop by our house -- just behind McDonalds in Union Springs.  Find out more about this area by checking out these web sites:  usacoc.com  or unionspringsalabama.com .

I am glad to assist in any way with your home purchase (Historical or more recent) or we also market extensively by the internet (traditional & historical), local paper and regional publications.  We sell, land, homes and commercial properties.
