On December 28, 2007, John Phillips successfully passed both the law and trade portions of the examination given by the California State Licensing Board. He now holds the C-33 license as a painting contractor. This landmark is in addition to his years of outstanding service as the general manager for Denny's Home Services, a remodeling company in Ventura. John has decades of experience in the remodeling field and this is his second certification.John embodies the philosophy of excellence through service and education, making both himself and his company a huge asset to any client who is considering improving their home.
How We Got Here...Vision Construction is owned and operated by John Phillips. John entered the trades upon his honorable discharge as a Sergeant with the USMC in 1994 after six years of active service. John is a combat veteran of Desert Shield/Desert Storm and is the recipiant of the Naval Acheivement Medal for organnizing and implementing the search and rescue effort sucessfully saving the lives of three marines and a navy corpsman lost at sea. He began his career in construction in Lake Arrowhead as a grunt. John worked his way up through the ranks in high scale renovations in area such as Montecito and Hope Ranch Santa Barbara. In January 2006 John joined the highly regarded and established team at Denny's Electric in Ventura as Denny's lauanched the new division of Denny's Home Services. Taking the reigns in full stride with the help of mentors James Adams and Tony Cervero, John built the company to great success to match that of Denny's Electric. After much thought and consideration John too had a vision and thus Vision Construction was born in 2008. LIC# 911018
