About Joel Colvin
Raised in Ruston, LA in a family very involved in the real estate industry, with both parents having been brokers, homebuilders and developers, he followed in their footsteps and earned his real estate license at the ripe age of 18!

His parents both earned the coveted status of REALTOR Emeritus with over 40 years in the business so there are likely few in our area with more real life experience in the industry than Joel.

He received his brokers license in 1994. He worked for Colvin and Company for 12 years, Faulk and Foster as a zoning specialist from 1998 - 2001 and again recently as the business manager of commercial and residential real estate operations.

Joel has also served as the associate broker at Coldwell Banker where he served for almost 15 years and has managed 4,000 plus real estate transactions as well as personally listing and selling hundreds of commercial and residential properties in Northeast Louisiana.

Joel has a multitude of gifts and talents. He has excellent communication and technical skills and over 25 years experience representing buyers and sellers in all types of transactions.

Joel is very involved in the realtor community and is a past president of the Ruston Board of REATORS. He has also served as a director for the Northeast La. Association of Realtors throughout the years and is currently serving on the MLS committee.

He has zoning experience as a member of Ruston Planning and Zoning Commission along with experience working as a zoning specialist representing wireless communications carriers all across the United States.

He shares a full life with his wife of 26 years, Carol Ayers Colvin and has 3 children and 2 grandchildren. They live in Ruston, LA where he is looking forward to focusing on the growth of his real estate business.
