Get to Know Joanie Lehr
Joanie and Art Lehr knew they wanted to retire in Hawaii, they just got there a little sooner than anticipated. After several successful 1031 tax deferred exchanges of property in California and Nevada, they were able to purchase a second home in Kapoho Beach Lots, a gated community on the Big Island in 2004. Joanie had already had about 8 years of experience in real estate in central and southern California, and then she acquired her license in Hawaii in 2006, and Broker's license in 2010 Art received his salesperson's license a few years ago and now helps Joanie with her business, Hawaii Island Dreams, LLC, which they opened in 2011.
Some of Joanie's favorite activities include snorkeling with the sea turtles, hiking through the lava fields, biking, kayaking and just relaxing and sharing the aloha with friends and family at their beach house. Along with helping others realize their dream of retiring in Hawaii, Joanie plans on just "enjoying the island and the people here. It's an awesome place to be". Art loves to surf the waves at Pohoiki and is learning to spearfish and play ukelele.
