Why do I do what I do?…I love houses, kids, dogs and most recently small fish ponds.

I have been working on and in houses since the summer before 9th grade when I needed to raise $285 to go to cheerleading camp..  That summer, I found a summer job with a gardener and house painter.  My new job sparked and interest that kept me in the library studying landscaping and design books.

 The following year my dad bought an old 8 bedroom house that had a previous life as a boarding home of some sort.  Together we completely remodeled it, to include dismantling a fire place brick-by-brick from the chimney to the basement.  It took us 3 years to finish that house, mostly because neither one of us had any idea what we were doing and DYI network hadn’t been invented yet. The projects during those years lit a fire inside me that I continue to throw logs into everyday.

Buying then remodeling our personal homes gave my husband and me the confidence to branch out and start our own real estate investment company.  We are into our 6th year now and still learning and studying to grow our inventory.

I’ve managed to merge my interests and hobbies in houses, design, and decor into a career in residential real estate.  Who was it that said, “Do want you love and you’ll never have to work a day in your life?”
