I am Joe Bacoulis, Branch Manager of Stearns Home Loans here in Milford, CT. My family and friends call me JB and I welcome you to do the same.

I’ve been a Connecticut resident for nearly 20 years; educated at Norwalk Community Technical College and Sacred Heart University, where I received my Computer Science degrees with honors. My education has led me to prosperous careers in both the Banking and Healthcare industries – where I held positions at Peoples Bank and United Healthcare (formerly Oxford Health Plans).

In 1999, I began my focus on residential loan origination. Immediately, I developed my passion for helping and explaining the intricacies of the mortgage process to my clients. Venturing out in 2002, I founded my own mortgage company. My success was predicated on providing clients with extraordinary service with exceptional attention to detail.

In February 2011, ready to take my business to the next level, I joined Stearns Lending, Inc., as a Connecticut retail branch partner. A national direct lender, holding licenses in 45 states, Stearns shares closely related core values and provides the stability, commitment and support giving me the foundation to continue my success and growth.

Now that I’ve been a mortgage industry professional for 12+ years, I can reflect back and state with certainty that it has been very rewarding and (at times) challenging. I love what I do and I’m passionate about being my very best. I know that trust is earned and that providing an exceptional mortgage experience requires my ability to evaluate your individual needs and circumstances – then provide the best possible (attainable) solutions. I always represent the best interests of my clients.

On a more personal note, I reside in Monroe with my lovely wife and three children. Family is the most important part of my life. I enjoy coaching and watching my kids participate in youth soccer and baseball. Together, we enjoy taking family vacations and spending quality time together and with friends. I also take pleasure in golfing, skiing, fishing and many other outdoor activities.
