My husband Todd and I were born in Minnesota and raised in Apple Valley. Today we still live in Dakota County with our daughter Allison.
Family time usually means outdoor activities like basketball, golf and exploring this beautiful country.
I've been in the Sales and Marketing field for nearly 15 years. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Arizona State University in 1995 and upon graduating worked as a copy editor at the reputable daily Tribune Newspapers.
By 1997 I decided to move back to Minnesota and purchased my first home. I had a new baby sister to spoil - we are 22 years apart to the day! - and I missed my large family and closest friends. Of course I thought Arizona's canyons and views were majestic, but I felt nothing beat Minnesota's gorgeous seasons and deep sense of community.
My first home was a 2-bedroom, 1-bath, one-level townhome in Apple Valley, MN - that I was drawn to and determined to fix it up and resell.
With some elbow grease, good timing and management skills, along with a bit of fate - it turned out to be a TERRIFIC investment for a couple reasons.
Not only did I enjoy the benefits of home ownership like privacy, tax benefits, and space, I also met Todd Preuss, a talented residental contractor and business owner with close to 20 years experience. We fell in love working on the remodeling project and married shortly after.
By 2002 housing had rubbed off on me, I left my writing and graphic design career to become a Realtor.....and I've been helping people buy, sell and improve homes ever since!
