Well to say that I have been in the Real Estate field a long time is an understatement. I started with the lending side of things back in the early 80's late 70's when interest rates REALLY where high. I went to college in Florida for finance/business, yeah Miami! Yeah I still believe in the Miami Dolphins and a comeback!!!LOL I know about lending because I have doing lending, all fields not just being a loan officer, but underwriting and processing. I wanted to walk on the wild side and went into the Real Estate side in 1998. I enjoy the aspect of being with the customers and helping them with a major purchase. I think by having my experience in the financial side of things and seeing the other side, real estate, they truely make for a great match. I have a real compassion for people wanting to buy/sell a home. I want to know deeply what is motivating them to make the move they are contemplating. That way i can best help them with all they are gonna go thru. Along with experience, my college education is important, but continuing education is great. I am a CRS and SFR, (Short sale and Foreclosure Resource specialisty. I am a dedicated By Referral Only member, believing that referrals are the life blood of all we do. Knowledge without taking care of our customers is lost. I treat everyone of my customers with respect no matter what the situation is, therefore they feel great in telling people about me. With my family's strength and love I do give that on to everything. I have a great husband who is a contractor, so I kinda got a inside view on Land & development deals, he's also great to help me in dealing with builders or spec. buyers wanting cost information. I have learned so much from him. I have four daughters, two grandbabies who are the light of my life. I am very involved with Angel Food Ministry in our valley as well as being involved in our local MLS board committee
I feel that my area of expertise has to be in the financial area of a transaction. For this reason I truely enjoy working with First Time Homebuyers. I know many programs that are now available to consumers and have teamed up to enjoy a strategic alliance with several mortgage bankers and companies. So those people that may or may not be credit challenged I can work with them.Sometimes when I feel that certain agents have talked down or just plain ignored a customer because of credit issues, I am sad. Not all agents in Real Estate tend to look past today, I take the time to work things out and make a timeline for my clients and get them back up again. If they can't buy today that may change in six months. Short Sales are not exception to that. I feel the challenge of working with short sales and dealing with the Lenders, as I use to be one, this takes alot of talking and patience, not to mention understanding. I like to make this a win/win situation and save my clients frustration.
I also like to list/sell land. I enjoy looking at what things can be done. Alotof work goes into marketing land. Is it developable? Is it being used at it's highest and best use? What other things can be done? Who is my target marketing? Brainstorming with my husband is also near and dear to me, he is my greatest ali and the information he brings to the table on things is invaluable. Continuing education is ongoing, internet use, advertising, and now blogging....
