George W. East has been an active real estate agent on the Monterey Peninsula since March 1972, and a California Real Estate Broker since December 1973.  George is an agent for Shankle Real Estate the No.1 Monterey office in market share.

For approximately five years, he was an owner of a large Century 21 office and responsible for supervising over 25 agents engaged in sales of residential, land, commercial, and residential income properties on the Monterey Peninsula. Since 1982 he has been engaged exclusively in listing and selling real estate from an office in beautiful downtown Monterey, California.

In addition to completing many real estate seminars and professional real estate courses, he has a Master of Science Degree in Financial Management from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey and is a graduate of the H&R Block Tax Preparation School.  Prior to his career in real estate, he spent a career in the United States Navy as a Naval Aviator, test pilot and aeronautical engineer. He is also a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Moving approximately every two years while in the Navy has made him very aware and knowledgeable of the problems people face when making career moves or selecting a retirement community.
