Since the early '70's I have been actively negotiating real estate transactions.  For 19 of my 38 years I owned and managed residential, commercial, construction and property management businesses.  I obtained my Florida real estate license in 1990.  While in Florida I have managed sales offices for three major developers in seven different developments.  This has exposed me to many different Southwest Florida communities.

Currently, I broker properties on or close to the beach for Encore Realty, LLC.  Our office is next to Bonita Village, an upscale, gated community, of which, I served on the on-site sales team.  It is a tough life working residential sales in beautiful SW Florida, but somebody has to do it.  Immediately prior to Bonita Village, I helped to design and market The Esplanade on Marco Island and The Island Beach Club on Ft. Myers Beach from their inception.

With over 65 Professional Real Estate & Mortgage Courses under my belt, I often consult with customers to help them be more creative, exchange property and use self-directed IRA’s to invest in real estate.

I graduated from ICJC in Independence, Kansas (where my father was the Dean) and then served a four year enlistment in the U.S. Navy.  Upon receiving an Honorable Discharge I returned to Kansas State University.  To work my way through school I started a real estate company and stayed 17 years.  After a trip to sunny Florida I decided to leave the fantastic people and cold winters of Kansas for the sun and fun of Florida.

I am an avid boater and enjoy all the time on the water we can spare.  I have held a Captain’s License and also have a few fish stories to share with anyone who will listen!  I enjoy biking, reading all I can at the Barnes & Nobel public library, and travel often to hug my kids and grandchildren who still love the cold country.  Best of all, I like sharing the gorgeous Gulf sunsets with the friends I would have never met had I not been in real estate.
