After years of listing bank owned properties and working with asset managers, she has a good understanding of what they need in order to approve a sale – and she gives it to them. For her it's just a matter of following procedure, maintaining communications, and being persistent. 

Edie enjoys working with single family residences, condos and townhouses. These are the homes purchased and sold by some of her favorite clients – first time buyers, move-up buyers and snowbirds searching for a winter home.

Experience is the best teacher, and Edie brings a wealth of experience to her role in helping Lee County, Florida buyers and sellers.

Before fleeing Michigan's cold winters to take up residence in sunny Cape Coral, Florida, Edie was a hands-on real estate investor – purchasing homes, doing the fix-up, and then keeping them as rentals. Now she uses that experience to manage and oversee repairs to her bank-owned listings, as well as to alert her home buyers to red flags that need further investigation.

Although still keenly interested in real estate, Edie didn't immediately seek licensing after relocating to Florida in 1996. Instead she went to work as an office manager / assistant in a Feline Veterinary Clinic. She says those years helped sharpen her listening skills while they helped fill her home with companions. When you love cats and come in daily contact with cats in need of homes, adoption is hard to resist.

And, while she doesn't give tax advice to clients, Edie uses the knowledge gained working 5 tax seasons for H & R Block to help her clients realize the importance of good record-keeping and understand how home ownership affects their tax status.

When Edie's ongoing love of real estate led her to become licensed in 2001, she didn't stop with just getting a Florida real estate license. She regularly invests in additional courses to sharpen her skills. And because she enjoys handling both short sales and bank owned properties, each of her 6 professional designations was earned in gaining the extra knowledge needed to excel in listing and selling these distressed properties.
