I've been a licensed Realtor in the Commonwealth of Virginia since 2002 after taking an early retirement from my position as Human Resources Staffing and Employment Manager with Verizon Communications.
One of the accomplishments which make me most proud is the work I've done in the past 5 years, having the privilege of helping scores of homeowners avoid foreclosure by selling their homes as a "short sale." But I'm more than just a short sale specialist. I'm a full service Realtor specializing in working with home buyers, sellers, and real estate investors in the Richmond, Va. metropolitan area including the cities of Richmond, Hopewell, Peterbsurg, and Colonial Heights and the counties of Henrico, Chesterfield, Hanover, and Powhatan.
Some of my certifications are: e-Pro, Internet Marketing Professional, CHS - ACRE- Accredited Consultant in Real Estate; Certified HAFA Specialist, and CDPE - Certified Distressed Property Specialist. Furthermore, I hold membership in the following associations:

Client-First Philosophy
There are many qualities and skills that go into being a real estate professional – integrity, in-depth community and market knowledge, marketing savvy, effective negotiation skills and a high-quality professional network, all of which are hallmarks of how I work.
That said, in my experience as a Richmond real estate professional, I've also found that providing the very best service is essentially about putting clients first. This means keeping myself accessible, being a good listener as well as a good communicator, and responding quickly to your needs.
This "client first" philosophy has always been my approach and it requires me to continually improve my skills and ways of doing business. In addition, I've found that the latest technologies are enabling me to do everything I've always done, only much more quickly and efficiently. They've also helped me to extend the range of services I provide to my clients.

| I am what you would consider myself the low end of the buying spectrum. I only spent 12K on my house. Deb knew that going in. Yet the entire time she went to neighborhoods that made some people nervous. She treated me as if I was spending a million bucks. She was also patient with me as she understood I was spending all my savings on a fixer upper so I would not have a mortgage. As you can see, it is not a perfect score, but I am just not a perfect score person as I think it detracts from the exceptional people like Deb. I have referred others to her |

| Working with Deb Orth was the best decision my husband and I could have made when buying and selling our homes. | Deb Orth guided me through a short sale, a long and stressful process. She is knowledgeable, kind, and patient. She keeps a positive attitude, and made me feel comfortable and confident in her ability to take me through this process. She completed the short sale and helped me find a new rental home. She never made me feel bad or inadequate. Deb has people skills as well as real estate skills. I highly recommend her. |

| We had a condo in Chester, VA that was languishing in the market. We had very little success in renting out to reliable parties. One flushed down some sanitary napkins down the toilet that caused us $1500 to remove. We were still living in Northern VA, and as the economy changed, our retirement to Chester proved to be infeasible. With two mortgages, we decided to sell the condo. Luckily, we contacted Deb, and sought her help for a short sale. Even though we were not that much under water, we were still under. She and her team masterfully guided us through the process. At times, it was frustrating dealing with two banks. But, in the end she got us a sale. It is so wonderful not having a far-away house to deal with. As a conclusion, I can say, Deb is the BEST in the market. If you are buying or selling, you will never find a more helpful Realtor. She is the only one to sign up with. We owe her a huge vote of thanks. |

| As a realtor Deb is highly skilled. She helped me sell my house during the worst period of this past economic downturn, when houses were just sitting on the market for months and selling far below their true values. My house sold in under a month and for a fair price. She then, very skillfully, helped me navigate purchasing a HUD home that had been foreclosed. We did all this in a terrible time for real-estate but Deb's realistic and positive attitude never wavered and we got it all done! |
