Originally from the Garden State of New Jersey, this Yankee transplant has lived in the South for 35 years, the past 28 in Elizabeth City North Carolina. I worked in health care for 13 years and spent 5 years as Executive Director for United Way. I have traveled extensively thoroughout the state and am familiar with many regions. I can provide buyers and sellers with information on the activites of the business, civic, and faith communities. My life and work experience provides a wide knowledge of the information needed by buyers and sellers. I currently serve on the Elizabeth City Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and as Treasurer for Kids First, Inc. I am a past president and current member of the Elizabeth City Rotary Club. My hobbies include ballroom dancing and reading.
I am very active in my community: I was the first female president of both the Elizabeth City Area Chamber of Commerce and the Elizabeth City Rotary Club. I have served on many community boards including the American Cancer Society, Albemarle Food Bank, Kids First, Elizabeth City School Foundation and Elizabeth City Downtown, Inc.. Currently I am treasurer of Kids First Inc and a member of the Board of Directors for the Elizabeth City Chamber of Commerce. I am active in my faith community and serve as a lector and coordinator of our Feed the Needy program.
I have lived in three different homes in Elizabeth City including one in the historic district and one on the water so I am able to provide first hand knowledge of neighborhoods and the community. My two sons were educated in the school system and went one to graduate from UNC -Willmington and UNC - Chapel Hill. I have witnessed our small town grow to accomodate the flow of new residents from other areas and the boom in businesses to meet their needs.
