Well...born and raised around the world. Father Air Force Officer that rose to rank of Colonel. From Alaska to Pakistan via 22 states as well as Italy and Spain as well as Mexico.

Majored in Phys Ed, Health, Science and Education.
Have owned Deli Style sandwich shop, paint and remodeling company, sold "inmates" for the state of South Carolina, worked in the Time Share Industry and now in Real Estate (since 1983).

| Richie Kahn I'll be honest. When my wife and I (and my sister, oddly enough) first met Rick Hardy at an open house, we weren't looking to buy. Well, not seriously anyway. We had an idea of where we wanted to move, a timeframe in mind, and a local snooty realtor we planned on using. As we got closer to a serious house hunt, it became apparent that the hoity toity realtor wasn't a good fit for us. So, we called Rick. Rick graciously took us out to a few different homes of interest. The first time, he threw himself belly down in the mud while it was snowing to take a look at the foundation of the home. I thought to myself, "Who is this guy?" Our search progressed and a few things became obvious: 1. Rick knows his stuff inside out when it comes to both real estate and home remodeling. 2. Old houses have character but they also have their own issues. A new home is what we're after. After coming to these realizations, we quickly found a wonderful local builder to make our dreams realty. With Rick's help, we've decided where we want to live, picked our lot, hashed out a very fair purchase agreement, selected a wonderful lender, and started work on figuring out what options we want in our home. Side note: our new house is going to have screened in porch. My wife loves grilling. Clearly, this is a problem. Rick's on-the-fly solution? Extend the porch 6x13 for an unenclosed grilling setup. Awesome. While we won't be closing on our new home for a few months, I'm sure that Rick will do a bang up job with the closing, too." |

| Selling or buying a house can be stressful. That's why you want to someone who'll make it less so. Rick is a very personable guy with a great sense of humor. He also has the patience of Job. We were searching for "the" house and took forever, but he never gave up on us and gave us our space. He's been in the business for a long time and will help you make sure you do all the stuff you need to. He's been in the area for along time and knows all the neighborhoods and schools. He knows lots of other realtors (he was the President of the Realtors Group) to extend your network. His partners: attorneys, financial people, inspectors and appraisers are all first rate. We did tons of financial research and comparison shopping and ended up with Rick's group as the best deal. If you're buying he'll work with you in the way you want—he'll find you a house, or he'll dig deep on a house you find online. If you're selling, he'll help you show the house in the best possible light and work with you to establish an asking price that's right for you and right for the market. We've sold a house with Rick and bought a house with Rick and we trust and value his expertise. And a very important note: Rick gives you all the information you need and ask for, but never once did we feel pushed n any direction. He lays out the options and let's you reach your own decision on your own timetable." |

| We met Rick at an open house he was hosting. The house was not near what we were looking for, so he focused on developing a relationship with us in those 1st few minutes. Rick is first and foremost a good listener. He worked tirelessly & patiently to find the right match for us. He was gracious through dozens of site visits with my wife & I. We were looking for a home w/history & architectural detail; a great yard & a nice neighborhood. Rick embraced this & made it fun. We would work with him again in a heartbeat & highly recommend him.
