In 2005 I was helping my mother go through some of her papers and found an article she'd saved on reverse mortgages. She told me she'd been thinking about doing one as her expenses continued climb. I asked her not to do anything until after I'd had a chance to look into them and she agreed. I'd heard all sorts of things about Reverse Mortgages and most of them weren't good. By the time I finished my research I was so impressed with the product that it was easy to say yes when an opportunity presented itself.
Since then I've helped seniors get out of foreclosure, helped them find the extra money they needed to get the food, prescriptions, heat, electricity, and home repairs they'd put off for many years. I've shown them how to use a Reverse Mortgage to buy new homes and move closer to family without losing their privacy or autonomy. I've worked with their financial advisors, CPA's, estate attorneys and POA's how this program can be used to help seniors who would like to reduce their need for social security until they are able to take advantage of the highest rate, how to use this program to downsize or move into a safer neighborhood, how to position their clients to be better candidates for Medicaid/SSI and how to preserve and prolong their taxable retirement funds.
I love what I do because I help seniors age in place while improving their quality of life during their retirement years.
