We commend all loan officers, branch managers and support staff who have been weathering this storm.  It is a fact, that those who are still producing in today's business belong here!  Nationwide Equities Corporation has been very active in lending FHA, Reverse, and Fannie/Freddy products during this perfect storm.  As a senior member who conducts the hiring process for LO's and Branch Managers; I remember in 07-08 being frustrated with the lack of quality of the LO's in my interviews.  It seemed like every one of them was looking for the last Subprime stated/stated product that didn't exist.  We even stopped advertising to prevent these interviews.  Due to the implementation of NMLS In January 2009 the phones started ringing with quality loan officers and branch managers looking to enhance their business.  Many of them brokers that realized the days of being the middleman is over.  It is time to become part of the direct source. Nationwide Equities Corporation started as a 2 man operation in NY back in 1999.  Many of those years we conducted our business as brokers.  In 2007 we realized mortgage brokering was going to become more and more difficult and FHA is the future so we applied for our Full Eagle.  Late 2007 Our timing was fortuitous when we received Approval by HUD and the NYS Banking department, while our competitors were stuck with bad loans on their lines and going out.  Since then we have been building our staff with educated mortgage bankers.  We sympathize with those who are fed up with long underwriting turn times and limited control.  We take pride in opening the doors to those who are willing to convert.
