Get to Know Cathy Hickey/Branch Manager NMSL# 214814 San Antonio, TX Loan Officer
Cathy Hickey is the Branch Manager of AmeriPro Funding's San Antonio North office. She has 25+ years of experience as a loan officer. With help from continuing education, seminars, and other courses, Cathy provides extensive current knowledge of this continually changing industry and shares this knowledge with her clients. She believes it is her duty to ensure clients become familiar with the loan process, and strives to keep all parties involved up to date.
Cathy works within diverse areas of San Antonio, catering to as many as possible. She is familiar with many city programs including Down Payment Assistance, Homeownership Incentive and Homebuyer Assistance Programs.
Cathy entered the industry in Dallas, TX where she worked as a Real Estate Agent, as well as an Escrow Agent. After a few years of becoming familiar with the mortgage industry, she began work as a loan officer. After relocating to San Antonio to be closer to family, Cathy found herself quickly excelling in the industry. She worked her way up to many positions, including managing Temple Inland, CTX, and District Manager for GMAC.
She maintained her integrity and ethical beliefs through the mortgage crisis, choosing to continue to help those in search of a new home in a tough market during a time when many others were getting out of the business. In the first months of 2011, Cathy and some colleagues branched out on their own, opening AmeriPro's second San Antonio Branch, where she acts as Branch Manager.
When not working to successfully close loans for San Antonio and surrounding areas, Cathy enjoys playing piano, reading, and having get togethers with her friends and family.
As a young girl growing up in a Preacher's household, Cathy played piano in her father's church every Sunday. She grew up in San Antonio and local areas, moving where her father found work in the church. She loves to read suspenseful mystery books, and especially enjoys Stephen King's writing. She has family at heart, taking time every day to spoil her cats and dog, as well as her husband. She enjoys having her friends, family, and colleagues over for swimming in the summer, as well as attending a standing poker party every month where we all partake in Texas Hold 'Em!
My role is to guide every client through the loan process, taking time to make sure they understand every step involved. I take joy in providing our clients knowlegeable and quality customer service.
