Get to Know Casa Latino

I began my career in real estate as an attorney at United Parcel Service headquarters in the early 1980's. During my first year at UPS I helped put leases and purchase contracts together in 30 different states. By my third year there I began negotiating property tax reductions for UPS around the country and later moved to negotiating the lease, purchase and sale of properties for UPS nationwide. I left UPS to start a country law practice in my hometown in Connecticut and found that 90% of my practice was handling residential real estate settlements, representing buyers, sellers, title companies and mortgage lenders. By the year 1999 I began shifting my emphasis from practicing real estate law to brokering mortgages. I started a mortgage company in 1999 and happily built a great local mortgage company. By 2004 it was evident that my Latino borrowers weren't being properly assisted by local real estate agents....so I decided to change all of that. I created Casa Latino Real Estate in 2004 and formalized the operation of a Casa Latino branded real estate agency in a small Connecticut city by the end of 2005. One year later, after considerable success and notariety, Casa Latino Franchise Corporation was born. By November of 2006 we were ready to unveil our system and two months later we sold our first franchise. The mission of Casa Latino is simple and concise: "To achieve dominant market presence among the Hispanic community nationwide by providing exemplary quality service to home buyers and sellers with particular emphasis on educating and equipping the Hispanic community to achieve their dream of home ownership". By the end of 2007 Casa Latino had 20 franchises sold, by mid 2008 Casa Latino had 40 franchises sold. The company projects 100 locations by Summer 2009 and 200 locations before the close of 2009.
