Get to know Joan Graham
A native New Yorker, Joan Graham, GRI, has been a resident of Brewster for 30 years. She lives and works in an antique sea captain's house on Brewster's Main Street. Joan is a graduate of Cape Cod Community College and earned a BS from Lesley College, as well as a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Lesley University. She is currently completing a certificate program in Creative Arts Therapy at The New School in New York City. She has also earned both the Accredited Buyer Representation and the Seller Representative Specialist designations. Joan has written for The Cape Cod Times and other local publications. She has also taught weaving; her own woven work has appeared in several shows. Through the years, Joan has been a volunteer involved in various facets of the community including being elected to and serving on the Brewster School Committee, editing the newsletters of the Provincetown AIDS Support Group and the Brewster Ladies' Library, and producing the annual visitors' guide to Brewster. She has also volunteered with Independence House, the Cape Cod Board of Realtors, the Cape Cod Women's Organization, and the Brewster Chamber of Commerce. Joan has been a real estate broker and member of the Cape Cod & Islands Association of Realtors since 1983, with a ten year hiatus while she was the Community Relations Manager at Barnes & Noble.
