I was still in college when I discovered the real secret of how to be a successful Realtor. I was working at a youth center and made this life changing discovery. Instead of worrying about "how I was doing" as a prospective teacher,  I learned to put the needs of the children first and focus on how they were doing. I suddenly was able to connect with them to become a valuable group leader.  I now do that for all of my clients.

After college,I  worked as a teacher until I paused to marry and raise three children.When I came back to full time work, I wanted to work with adults and chose to become a Realtor.  That was 20 years ago and I still love what I do! I now educate buyers and sellers and teach them how to make good Real Estate decisions.

 Koenig & Strey GMAC, Deerfield IL has been my affilation for all of my 20 years in the business.  I used to say it was at the same desk, but they had the nerve to redo the office last year and now I have a "cubbie" to work in. When I tally my business at the end of each year, I find that I work with an almost equal amount of buyers and sellers. I think that gives me the most current perspective on our local market.

I work hard at what I do, but I also work smart. Not long after I became a Realtor with Koenig & Strey GMAC in Deerfield I realized the value of networking with other Realtors. I have  served on and chaired many Realtor board committees. I am proud to say that I was elected for two terms as a Director of the North Shore/Barrington Board of Realtors and have also served as the President of the North Shore chapter of Women's Council of Realtors. In 1993, I was chosen by the North Shore Board of Realtors as "Realtor Associate of the Year".  Even with all of the volunteer work I do, I still find the time to be a top producer and have  been recognized as a listing, sales and relocation specialist by Koenig and Strey GMAC, often as the listing and/or sales leader in my office.  

My wonderful husband keeps reminding me to "Work hard, but also play hard". Opera is my hobby. I am a volunteer for Lyric Opera of Chicago, giving opera talks at schools and libraries. I also occasionally perform onstage in the opera as a "supernumerary" ( a non-singing extra).  That is why I say that I offer "Real Estate Service You Can Sing About."
