When we PCSed to Langley AFB and the Virginia Peninsular in 1992, it was not long until we realized this is the place that we wanted to put down roots after a long rewarding career in the Air Force. Framed by Williamsburg, two beautiful rivers, and the fabulous Chesapeake Bay this was the place to be. Boating, sailing, jet skiing, kayaking, fresh and salt water fishing it is all just moments away or at your backdoor! History, like water, is all over. From Jamestown, Williamsburg, Yorktown to Fort Monroe key historical events happened here from the initial settlement and development of our country, to victory in the revolutionary war, and the battle of the ironclads in the War Between the States. Bush Gardens and Water Country USA are great local attractions for young and old. Cultural attractions a numerous and include Freeman center for the Arts, Mariners Museum, Virginia Living Museum, and Air and Space Museum to name a few.
For those of you moving here from other parts of the country or the world we know you will enjoy living here. The housing market is stable with housing prices slightly down, days on markets up over the past years. There is plenty of mortgage money available for qualified buyers because banks see us a more stable market and want to invest in our communities.
