I have been in the reverse mortgage industry since early 2006. I am a member of the National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association (NRMLA) and adhere to their code of ethics. I have followed the market very closely since 2006 and have a comprehensive understanding of where the product has been and a very good idea of where it is going. The market is currently 100% FHA Home Equity Conversion Mortgages as the private label reverse mortgage market collapsed in late 2008. Before joining Sun West, I worked for a top 5 national reverse mortgage originator based out of Atlanta and reported to the Chairman of the company. From my experience, I know that the largest hurdle for the industry is in educating America's Seniors about the benefits and flexibility that a reverse mortgage can offer.
