| I wish there were more than 5 stars to give Catherine because she earned it! I contacted her after receiving her flyer and talking to her on the phone. I was immediately impressed with her knowledge of the Palm Springs market, working with Indian leased land and my complex specifically. It was over 2 years later when I was ready to list my condo, but she stayed in touch, checking in on some complications that had to be worked out before selling. She knew it would be a challenging listing, but she took it on and went above and beyond in every possible way, playing the roles of mediator, negotiator and even messenger to make it happen. It started with my father-in-law’s probate property which sold quickly. She also found us a beautiful new home in Indio. We were expected to be on a waitlist for a while. | I was a bit apprehensive about selling my home during a pandemic. Remembering how amazing Catherine was when I bought my house five years ago, I had confidence she would know how best to proceed. At the beginning of December, I moved nine hours away…before my house went on the market. I was able to do so knowing I was in good hands. Catherine was there every step of the way to make sure my house was safe and ready for potential buyers. We were in escrow soon after listing. Catherine went above and beyond throughout escrow. There were some snags along the way on the buyers’ end, but Catherine kept pushing every step of the way. Immediately she provided me with comparisons and she assisted me in ascertaining a marketable listing price. Which by the way sold quickly! Immediately after listing my condo she provided an immaculate virtual tour and cared for all of the restrictions related to the pandemic. | From the moment we met, I knew that Catherine was the right person to sell my home, and she also was extremely helpful in my buying another home in La Quinta, CA. Catherine has a wonderful personality, and when she showed me the home in La Quinta that she had listed, I knew right then that I had to buy that home. So then she came to my former home and properly told me what I had to do to sell it. She properly set the selling price, as I had not done major improvements prior to the sale. After it was listed, the first offer came in 7 days. When that offer was withdrawn, she immediately called another prospective buyer, and that person made an offer after only a two hour visit in my home. | I met Catherine Marcy of Home Smart Professionals through my mortgage lender, Patrick Richardson of Veterans United Home Loans. Catherine was very helpful and professional in assisting me in my search for a suitable home. She made herself available not only to show me homes that she had listed, but also homes that I may have found while driving through the neighborhoods or came across on the Internet. She was also very knowledgeable of the Veterans Administration requirements of what was required for their approval, which saved us a lot of time looking at homes that wouldn't pass muster. When we finally did find a home that I was interested in, she negotiated the price lower than the asking price even after the seller had done a recent price reduction. That was the easy part, after finding the home, negotiating the price, then there were the inspections, appraisals and final walk-through. Also there were some glitch with the paperwork from the lender and it was slowing down the acquisition of the property, once I informed Catherine of the problem, she put her knowledge to work and notified the lender of how he could expedite the paperwork and process which I was very appreciative. I wholeheartedly recommend Catherine to anyone going through the home buying process. |
