After earning her bachelor of science in sociology from Texas A&M University, Aimee Bissett entered the residential treatment field, serving tenures as a director with the Maple Manor Residential Treatment Center and a program manager with the Nelson Center Residential Treatment Program. Subsequently expanding into a range of public and private sector industries, she ultimately returned to school, completing the acclaimed programs at the Economic Development Institute of the University of Oklahoma and the Mid-Career Management Institute of the Graduate of the International City/County Management Association. Aimee Bissett also holds a master of public administration from the University of Texas at Arlington and a certified economic developer designation through the International Economic Development Council.

Since 2016, Ms. Bissett has served as a managing partner with the 97 Land Company. She leads the Denton, Texas-based real estate and land development consultancy to complete comprehensive land use/economic development analysis, entitlement facilitation, and project management services that navigate the time and logistical constraints of the project in question.
