Get to Know Amanda Eckart
As a result of frequent moves throughout my childhood, I quickly developed a passion for the home search. Growing up, I spent most Sunday mornings perusing the Real Estate section of local newspapers, finalizing our open house itinerary for the weekend. After retiring from my career as a ballet dancer early, in search of a "more normal life", I began searching for other fulfillment. I survived a few years as and engineering student at the Unviersity of Florda before realizing I did not have the same passion for engineering as I did for ballet or real estate! I moved to Breckenridge, CO where I became an Associate Broker and worked for an elite agency in one of the "hottest" real estate resort towns in the country. After a short time honing my skills, I quickly moved my way up to office manager. The years spent practicing real estate outside of New York, has brought a much greater understanding of buyers who are relocating from other states, and how varied real estate practices can be. After receiving a proposal from my now-husband and Celebrate Your Home co-founder, Daniel Eckart, we relocated to his home town of Port Jefferson, New York, which we considered to be the ideal location for starting our family. I returned to school to finish my degree in Economics, graduating from Stony Brook University in 2006. I use my degree to stay on top of economic trends within the industry, and truly consider myself to be a local area market expert.
Currently, Dan and I reside in the village of Port Jefferson, with our two daughters Noelle, 4 (and-a-half), and Bridget, 2! You may run into us enjoying our favorite family activity-walking the sidewalks, beaches, or parks!
Active in the community, I'm a board member of the Port Jefferson Economic Development Committe, and love my role as the chair of the Farmer's Market committe. Dan, serves on the board of the Port Jefferson Business Improvement District, and we have a vested interest in the health of our downtown economy. We are also active members of the Mount Sinai Yacht Club, the Port Jefferson Parent Teacher Association, and the Three Village Chamber of Commerce.
I enjoy networking and sharing ideas with other real estate professionals who are looking to make the real estate process better for their buyers and sellers. I think out of the box with various technology tools. Using the web and specialized marketing software allows me to my clients buy and sell their home(s) efficiently-and I believe efficiency is essential in turning around our current market!
In 2010 I was named #1 Top Producing Agent in my company. In 2011, I joined forces with my associate Jane Parker, and we moved to our current home at Realty Connect USA. I'm committed to learning, growing and sharing with others; and in addition to earning my Certified Buyer Representive and Senior Real Estate Specialist Designations, am currently working on obtaining the prestigious Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation. I attribute my success to my growing list of satisfied customers, clients and friends.

| Amanda has that "it factor" when it comes to selling real estate. She is a very gentle, kind, good-spirited person. She made my wife and I feel very comfortable along the way. We were very difficult buyers too! Amanda remained patient, understanding, and helpful when we had difficulty getting a loan. She found us a loan officer that was able to get the loan we needed. Her years of experience has enabled her to build professional relationships with the right people, at the right time, for any situation, in order get a deal done right. We ended up buying a historic house. She even found us an expert home inspector for us that specialized in antique properties. | Amanda Eckart is absolutely the professional you want on your team when buying and/or selling your home in Long Island. She not only has express first hand knowledge of the area, but she has a warm and nurturing way of presenting it. At no time did I ever feel rushed or pressured as I had with other agents in the area, instead, I felt like she presented the facts in a cool manner and pointed out the pros and cons of each which gave me all of the quality information needed to make a great decision. Although I was not a first time homebuyer, I was a first time homebuyer in New York. Amanda took her time, introduced me to several others and allowed me to choose the other members of my team necessary to make a smooth purchase. Even when I brought on one of my team previously used, she was happy to work with them and integrated them into the "NY way of doing things". It was a breeze. Amanda was always there for me over the phone and in person. She made me feel that I was her only client and always responded to phone calls, texts, and e-mails in a timely fashion, (even when I was not so kind with the time of day or day of the week) She truly understands the urgency that this process sometimes requires and always seemed to rise to the occasion. Once I found a property to move into, that's when the real fun began. Amanda's knowledge of Comps in the area and the position of the local economy really gave us an upper hand in negotiating. She could whip out sales numbers and addresses off the top of her head and negotiated a much better deal than I ever could. (and she did this all with a smile and very cool demeanor). Amanda likes to call herself "The Real Estate Nerd", but I think she should be called "The ......no, maybe that is the correct nickname for her because she definitely is a Master of Real Estate on Long Island. |

| When deciding to search for a new home for me and my family I felt a bit overwhelmed and confused......Just didn't know where to begin. I was introduced to Amanda Eckart through a mutual friend and instantly felt a sense of comfort. Amanda listened to our needs, wants, limitations and financial concerns and reacted accordingly. She knew more about our town and local area than most people who have lived here 50 years......impressive!!! | Amanda found us the house we wanted in the precise neighborhood we requested. She started the process by taking us to several homes to get a sense of what we wanted. When we came close to submitting a bid on another home, she kept an eye on the market and took us to see our dream house before she would let us submit a bid on something that, in retrospect, would not have been a good fit. She really listens and is not invested in pushing buyers to make a move. Throughout the process with a difficult seller, she made sure that we understood what was happening at every step.
