Technology, because it keeps people connected and saves time, has become one of the most important items in the real estate professional’s tool belt. The National Association of Realtors®, in their 2011 technology study, asked agents to list the three pieces of technology they can’t live without:
- Tablets (Galaxy Tab, iPad, etc.)
- CRM tools (Market Leader, IXACTContact, MyRealEstateTools, etc.)
- Mobile and desktop tools like Dropbox, ZipForms and Postlets
The NAR study also says that 38 percent of the survey respondents claim they’ll be purchasing a smartphone within the next year, while 29 percent of respondents plan on purchasing a new tablet. Over half the agents claim they spent between $500 and $2,000 on new technology in the past 12 months.
