It has been a year since I purchased my first iPad. I wasn't sure it was for me so lurked and watched others until I was convinced that the product was viable. I absolutely love it. The portability can't be beat. The ease of use and the way it interfaces with my iPhone and MacBook is so sweet. I hope to keep it a while longer and when an upgrade comes out pass my old one down to my husband.

The iPad is amazing and is a great productivity tool. I find the iPad is best for reading documents, viewing videos or presentations and playing games. The iPad is not very effective for writing or using a spreadsheet. i have even purchased a keyboard for my iPad trying to change my behaviour and get through email on the iPad, but it is not effective. Maybe old dogs can't learn new tricks, but I prefer my laptop in general. A MacBook or super thin Samsung laptop may be the better solution for me.

I have the ipad 2. Just don't know how I did business without it. There are so many apps that make my life easier. From the calendar, to the pdf apps to storing info in the cloud... Each day I am finding more ways to implement this into our business plan. Just getting the email on the ipad makes it easier to read. I use a Bluetooth keyboard to make typing easier. Also we have an Apple store nearby. The tech help and training there is outstanding.

Wow is all I can say so far. Bob, that's me, has had my IPad for around 6months now and now can't live without it. I was always telling myself that no, I'll wait and wait and wait. I finally broke down last spring of 2013 and bought the Retina display version WiFi and now love it to pieces. And Lisa can't seem to put it down either. I'm thinking now I have to get her an IPad Mini next. She is loving it as well. It has changed my life as far as doing open houses and listing presentations. I'm just not sure as to when I should buy my Mini as rumors fly about a new one coming out this fall.... hmmm decisions decisions..... Oh what the heck, I think I'll just jump in and get it like I did with the full version...... IPad I love ya.... My humble opinion.... Bob H

I love gadgets of all sorts but I have to say that I do love my iPad. I may not be out all of the time as Realtors are but when I am with a client this little tablet is like having a little desk with me.
I can use it for presentations, so I no longer have to carry a binder of Before and After photos.
I can access forms as well as illustrations to help during my consultation.
And it syncs with my iPhone so everything is seamless.

I love my Ipad air. I use it all the time and with a newest update it does almost everything Iphone does( yes, calls and texts too). Since this iPad features the high-resolution Retina display, each of us use it for watching movies and videos. It is good for blogging and and other AR activities, and zillions of other Apple apps.

If you want to save a bunch of trees, the iPad can help you. I use it when I'm previewing and showing properties to store the listing information that I need. And with the voice recognition software, you can answer your email and even write Active Rain comments by speaking into the little microphone. The iPad also has a superb camera and a photo editing app that has produced many a Speechless Wednesday or Friday's Fotos post. And there are apps that allow you to download books on pretty much every site that allows e-book downloads. Finally, this handy tool of the trade gets very high marks for quality construction. I'd give it a Ten Star rating if they'd let me.

I wrote about my IPad in September's Paperless Challenge. When I wrote that blog post I had only been using my IPad for about 6 weeks and was just getting used to it., but it had already made a huge positive impact on my work life. I use my IPad on listing presentations. I use it for buyer showings. I have (most) clients sign all documents right on the IPad and immediately email them their copies of the signed docs. I am able to access my MLS as Maine uses CoreLogic's Fusion MLS. The apps I use the most are Evernote, PDF Expert, ZipForms, Dropbox, PDF Converter, DocuSign, GoToMeeting...and of course Gmail, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn. I can access my DB management tool, Realty Juggler. I can make notations (like arrows) on pictures using Skitch. The only thing I don't do is print from it - but I don't need to because I hardly print anymore...at least not anywhere close to how much I printed prior to using my IPad. It does take a little finagling sometimes to figure out the easiest way to do something (because I'm not an Apple user), but after I've figured it out I'm good to go. I never leave home without it.

I have used the iPad for over a year and use it in listing appointments, showings, open house sign in's and paperless transactions. I still use a laptop for some things. but the iPad apps are quickly replacing most things I do on it.. DocuSign, Evernote, iAnnotate and Open Home are some of my favorite apps.
