I used to own a Blackberry and finally made the shift to the S3 after several weeks of reviewing features, visiting the Verizon store to look at it in person and then back to the online reviews.
It took me a while to get to know the Smartphone platform compared to Blackberry but now i am in love with the phone. Why?
THE GOOD
It takes amazing photos and videos both front and back, this was on the top of my list
I can sync my calendar to my laptop- big deal breaker if it was not possible.
Good battery life for me anyway. I always have a charger in the car as well as at the office and home.
Apps are easy to download and as many as I need
Durable, I have dropped it twice and it is fine. I have a rigid case so that helps
Bought a holder and mini tripod for it to take photos and videos, no hands
THE NOT SO GOOD!
Bit of a pain wirelessly sending photos and videos to my laptop. I use WiFi File Transfer which takes quite a bit of time to download and sometimes loses its connection. I am currently looking for a better system
If you are not used to touch screen, give yourself some time to get used to it especially typing in contacts etc.
