From Microsoft:
"Surface was designed to be the one device for everything in your life. Every Surface offers ports, Office compatibility, and Covers. Whatever you want to imagine, create, and share—Surface makes it possible to do it all. And more."

While we are admittedly an "All Mac" family (with the exception of a couple of hold over PCs), we have had the chance to try one of these "gems". Personally, I think the statement from their website about the Surface 2 is right on target: "From an ultra-portable laptop to a desktop workstation to an immersive creative studio, Surface adapts to how you work and play." If we were PC based we would likely have a couple of these beauties in our personal possession! Five stars!

I was surprised to see the demand of Microsoft Surface - now at 4!
Windows skipped a step - and straight away jumped to Tablet with keyboard.
This is one of the most convenient tool a real estate agent can have. Work on very familiar operating system - Windows (now version 10) with the ease of carrying the table with them wherever that want.
Unlike Apple products, they need not worry about additional storage - as it has USB drive connectivity.
Simple and useful for consumers. They can't go wrong with this piece of technology.
Great product for sure.

OK, I realize that the Surface Pro 3 is not the newest iteration for Microsoft and the Surface line and should have reviewed it before now; however, I still feel that it's important to note the features that are great for this product.
It's a tablet, laptop, and fully functional computer all rolled into one. Yes, some folks will say that it still is difficult to use in sunlight - and I will say I'm surprised that Microsoft hasn't developed some kind of film, I think they're just emphasizing that this isn't supposed to be a 'Kindle'.
With full Microsoft Office functionality, and the new Windows 10, Cortana is my invisible best friend. There are some periodic glitches with other programs and Windows 10 but I'm sure that it is only temporary - also the searches using Edge instead of IE can be a bit disarming at first but the speed that the Surface operates with is amazing.
In general, the screen is fabulous, the attaching and reattaching of the keyboard is easy and immediate, the battery life is very good, and I would recommend it if you're in the market to decide about trading in your laptop - INSTEAD of buying yet another Apple product that does really address our real estate industry needs.

There are two version the affordable vs full blown version for tablets.
$499 vs $799. Some aimed at tablet users with games, book keeping etc.
My impression it is a gap and money is made from the joy stick, adpator, pen styles etc.
It can be a big investment for those wanting to get away from laptop or PC.
My impression is tablets will never replace pc in a business environment. This software and gadgets will have a place for casual users. Until I feel I will replace them by a tablet I am checking out the cost vs practicality of this software. The **** is justified since all codes and appls are developed.

It has everything except a tech savvy owner. This machine does everything. I have been using it for 5 months now and I haven't even scratched the surface. Hah!! Office 365, type screen, arc mouse, external screen. This is just terrific to keep everything together. Docusign and Microsoft partnership only makes it better. I use evernote, but probably switching to OneNote for the seamless integration. What a nerd!

The guys who developed the Micorsoft Surface need to read the Steve Jobs biography and think about the customer experience a bit more.
When I saw the ads, I was excited. Then I tried one out that belongs to a friend, and it does have a lot of features that my iPad doesn't. But what didn't work for me was the keyboard, which was just awkward to use and had a strange feel to it. With my Logitech keyboard/case that I use with my iPad, the user experience is a lot better. Also, the Surface didn't have the feel of a product that would last a long time or that was sturdy enough to withstand the wear and tear that most of us put on our tablets. So it looks like when it's time to replace my iPad, it'll be with a newer iPad.

I do not have a Microsoft Surface device and may not need one cause I have an IPad but being the geeky guy I am, I checked them out at the store. They do a good job with innovation. It's not just a copy of the IPad like some companies have done. It's a great idea. Apple or Microsoft, it's like GM and Ford. You make the choice but I will tell you this, They are a player in a market they were not in now.
