If I wasn't an iPhone user I would definitely put the Samsung Galaxy S III at or near the top of my list as phone of choice. The smart phones these days are so much more than phones - web browser, text application, calendar reminders, purchasing Verifly insurance for aerial drone operations, it's a very lengthy list and there are very few if any tasks you can't do on a smart phone that you can only do on a desktop or laptop computer. The only limitation is visibility due to the size of the screen.

But for the fact that this smartphone does not have all the bells and whistles of the newer generation smartphones, I still have this phone with me - and many of them refuse to show or share this phone.
Considering the fact that this was the beginning of the change, these phones were the pioneer in the technology they used within the phone. The size may have been a bit smaller compared to their 'followers', great smartphone era has a great contribution from this phone.

Samsung Galaxy line up has been one of the best - a real tough competition to Apple's iPhone series.
This is a great phone with bigger screen size (compared to what is the trend) and Samsung has done a great job with this series.
Overall, a pathway to more phones in this series!
The one I had was Rocketfish - perhaps not as versatile as Samsung Galaxy S3.

The S3 was a good phone. It was solid and performed well. I used one for a year, then upgraded to an S4, then S5, and now using S6 for about a month. This was my first north american market android, I had used some Korean market andriods previously from brands that are unknown here. It was a good phone, decent battery life, and you can now buy one used for about $50.

Through the years I’ve had a number of phones. At one time I even owned a Galaxy III. The call quality was excellent and also had good photo and video capability. As with many Droid or Google phone, it had its drawbacks as Google does not own the hardware, they furnish the software to make it run. Here lately, there are a lot of issues concerning hacking Droids which creates a security issue with this phone or any Droid phone.

I've had a number of phones through the years. So far, this Galaxy S III has been the best by far, No issues and plenty fast for me. Call quality is excellent and also has good photo and video capability. My carrier is Sprint, and I've been very pleased with the Galaxy experience to date.
For those looking for an Android phone, going for one of the phones in the Galaxy line is a good bet for a high quality smart phone.

The Samsung Galaxy III is a great phone. I have been using it now for about two years. It does everything you would expect in some of the more expensive phones. Need directions, no problem, just ask. You can talk to text and email and a host of other things. This is a great phone for the price.

I had an SII then upgraded to an S4. My wife has an SIII. As far as I am concerned, both Phones fulfill our needs. Cannot live without these devices. Relatives and some customers have iPhones. Even THEY agree that we have AWESOME smart phones. I have added 32GB memory cards to both phones. These things are justs like mini computers!
Whatever your need, there are hundreds of APPS that will satisfy. I don't work for Samsung but am a fan of their products!

My droid broke so I had to upgrade and they recommended the Samsung Galaxy Stratosphere and I have to say I'm super happy with it. I'm still getting used to it, but it seems to be working much faster and the texting is easier and faster. It's lighter, too.
There are even more options vs. my last smart phone and I have to say so far I'm thrilled with it (and I loved my last phone).

I had an HTC Incredible I prior to upgrading to the III S and felt it was ok at best. After doing so, I found the III S was not all it was reviewed to be. THe III S has several nagging features which drive me crazy.
First, it takes way too long to delete emails. I receive 100 - 300 daily, mostly spam and it takes 10 - 20 seconds to do delete them all. If you stop prior to the majority of them being deleted, it does does delete them all.
The biggest issue I have, when you pinch out to enlarge a page, i.e. web page or email, it does not justify the scene to make it fit so you only have to scroll up and down. Thus you have to scroll both up and down and sideways to read the enlarged text. Totally unacceptable. The HTC Incredible was a phone with many issues, but it did both of these tasks in about 2 seconds to delete emails and allowed me just to scroll up and down which you could do with one finger.
This phone has also has given me several other hick-ups and if I could have sent it back, I would have. I bought it at a great price, $49 after rebates just after the IV S came out thinking it was a deal. I will end this contract and dump this phone as soon as I can with Verizon.
