HMS Home Warranty is not a bad basic system, but the fine print? Well, better read it before you buy into their whole "peace of mind" promise.
I recently reviewed their coverage when choosing a program to cover a listing, and we decided to to with the competition. While HMS does offer some coverage, their disclaimers about what they don't cover are a lot longer than the descriptions of what they do cover. I'd prefer that the people who buy my listings don't get nasty surprises when the CAC goes off in August and the failed component is on the not covered list.
