We attended a review of 2-10 Home Warranty Services at our Keller Williams office in Arizona and lik... more We attended a review of 2-10 Home Warranty Services at our Keller Williams office in Arizona and liked what we heard. We also like to subscribe to services so we have personal experience with the products before we add them to our vendor list. During our first year we had our hot water heater fail and 2-10 replaced it without any problems and the service was timely. We – resigned for a second year and a few months into the contract we had a problem with our pool heater and we contacted 2-10 for service. They sent a technician and we paid the $60.00 and waited for a response. The technician responded that it would be less expensive to replace the heater vs. repair the system. 2-10 came back and advised that they do not cover “Salt Water Pools”. Our first year of service we paid $310.00 for the pool coverage and the second year it increased to $320.00. The contract does not specify that they do not cover salt water pools and they advised us that they do not have to tell us that a salt water pool is not covered. Keep in mind that over 40% of the pools in AZ are salt water pools. 2-10 has taken the position that they will refund us for 2012-2013 pool service but not the previous year even though they did not cover the pool for the money expended. They will refund the rest of our contract on a prorated contract. During this process we could not get a response from 2-10 even when we tried using our regional representative. (Fredi Stillman) We only started to receive a response when we contacted the Better Business Bureau. As of this review they are still refusing to refund our previous service for pool service that they do not cover. Unfortunately, we included 2-10 in our referral list to our clients. We have since removed them from our list. Because of the experience we had in being sold coverage that they had no intention to service we consider that fraud. We consider all of the vendors that are on our referral lists as a reflection of our business. If they do not perform, commit fraud, or service our clients appropriately they are removed from our list. We cannot recommend 2-10 home warranty service to anyone given the way they do business.
