It works, if you work the leads
Submitted on 01/16/2018
Basic principal of any lead generation platform is - they will generate the leads and you will have to work hard to convert the lead to contact and from contact to client.
TRULIA is no exception - except the fact that they have been a low-key when they started and even when they were bought out by big company with the...

Not worth the money
Submitted on 08/02/2017
I tried Trulia local ads for about 6 months. I found that the buyers were generally already working with an agent. Or, after I would spend a lot of time answering their questions and trying to help, I would never hear back from them again. The money I spent was a total waste. I've now reached a point, fortunately, wi...

Facebook Ads have better ROI!
Submitted on 10/23/2016
The idea of marketing on any platform or any website is to get the client.
Yes, people on Trulia are really looking for a home - either buying or selling.
However, why should one spend so much more money just to give an exposure to a listing on Trulia?
Recently I spent less than $30 for a listing promotion, boosting...

Whether advertising on Trulia - or any other web based platform - a photo is worth a thousand words - and if using photos - Professional Photography is key in real estate marketing. The purpose of marketing is to get buyers to go to the property and walk through the front door. The best way to do this is to have a pris...

No Lead Generation from Truly Local Ads
Submitted on 08/07/2016
An agent in our office used this service and he said that it was truly a waste of money. He did it for almost 6 months and didn't receive a single lead off of it. I would not use this service for myself having heard that same story now from 4 other local agents.

Exclusive Trulia Seller Leads
Submitted on 12/26/2015
I've broken even two listings $30,000 GCI but have a pipeline of future potential sellers. I'm not ranking them five because they will not guarantee leads but you have to guarantee your $ upfront for a set amount, some do accidentally get sent to more than one agent they do not know how to control that in their algor...

Not for me
Submitted on 11/30/2015
I participated in this program for more than 6 months. I am good about tracking where my business comes from and this extra exposure brought in no leads that I could track. When the trial period was over I canceled the service. I don't believe in spending money on anything that doesn't produce results. I had high hopes...

Glad it has merged with Zillow though leads were less than desired either way
Submitted on 11/03/2015
Trulia recently merged with Zillow, but even with the merger, I doubt that the leads produced will be much better. Well, at least not for my market.
I hear others do quite well with Zillow/Trulia, but I never have, and I have stopped advertising with them.
If you are going to focus on buyers, then write content ...

I like Trulia
Submitted on 07/23/2015
Trulia is great. I like it because they have a great real estate platform where you can ask questions and comment on other questions. You can also give reviews to help others who are seeking real estate advice on Truilia. I think it is a good place that helps a lot of agents and I would recommend using them. They h...
