I've found it to be very useful and so much better than the old paper file systems. It certainly makes life easier, and Dotloop does a great job of having easy tutorial videos to walk you through each step, so even those with very little technology background can quickly pick it up! hide

In July they switched to a new program/format and it's been chaos since! I've had colleagues who have sent out offers for e-signature which took 4+ hours to arrive at the other end. In today's market you could lose a sale with that type of delay. I've had nothing but problems submitting files to my office, who have spent hours on the phone with DotLoop trying to resolve why files are not transferring to appropriately listed parties. I know my office is now looking at alternatives to DotLoop. They seem to have grown too fast and can't keep up. hide

Everything is secured and only available when you're ready for your listing agent, buyer's agent or anyone else involved in the purchase and sale of residential property to view the documents, including counter-offers or anything else pertinent to the negotiation. DotLoop uses secured eSignature technology. Give this fine company a look. Nearly 700 thousand pros use it. That speaks volumes about it's integrity. hide

I have been able to do transactions with digital forms and digital signatures around the world instantly that in previous times would have taken days to fed ex back and forth but can now be accomplished in hours. I don't know how real estate ever got done before digital documents and digital signatures. hide

I had tried Authentisign product that GA MLS had rolled out and it scared most of my clients as it required them to download software on to their computer. You have to keep these systems simple. More recently, I've tried out FMLS (yes, Atlanta has two MLS's -why???) product for electronic documents and e-sigs. It has a ways to go to catch up with Dotloop. It really doesn't seem like these products should be that complicated to make a quality solution, buy apparently Dotloop is one of the few to figure it out. hide

It was a great idea because it was to be integrated and used with our closing for ease of use. Our State would not cooperate nor would our AZMLS so we could not execute on the system. We then tried to use it as a stand alone product in conjunction with contracts when our client's were remote and it failed miserably. We tried to get help from docusign and just got a never ending telephone tag loop. It looked and sounded like a good program but we could not execute with it and went back to Doc U Sign that we pay extra for so we can take care of our client's professionally. DotLoop may have made some changes since we used the product - We hope so. One of the criteria we have for our software is that it is easy to use, easy to instruct a new agent on how to use, and when we need help that we can get it without a huge effort on our part. We need to stay in front of our client's and not work as tech's, the latter is expense and the former means revenue. Our client's always take priority. hide

I use it for all of my transactions, as well as other needed uses for e-signatures. I use the free account, which I am shocked is free. I am not sure yet what the upgraded account provides, but plan to check it out soon. I used (and paid for) DocuSign for years, and used Adobe's electronic signature system for a while. Finding dotLoop was seriously one of the best software solutions that I've found yet. I'd recommend this to any other fellow 'Rainers! hide

DotLoop is really 3 products all rolled into one - it's been invaluable in our business and it's get... more DotLoop is really 3 products all rolled into one - it's been invaluable in our business and it's getting ready to be even more so with the 2.0 version coming out in May (can't wait!). The program is our FORMS software, our E-SIGNing software and our Transaction Mgt/Document Archiving Program all rolled into one. All of this in one program - no getting in and out of 3 different programs. All of the State forms are in DotLoop and you can upload literally ANY other form that you use into it to use over and over. Fill them in, have the parties sign, every transaction has it's own loop (folder) which you can upload ANYthing into - surveys, title documents, doesn't have to be a form that needs signing - everything for the transaction is all in one place. All the little things that I wish it had - are coming in 2.0 in May - it's a powerful program. It had a bit of a learning curve but that's going to be much shorter with the update. I was previously a DocuSign user - was a great program, but very limited compared to DotLoop. hide

There is a good deal to learn before you can use it. You run into road blocks on some of the simplist inputs and just when you think you are moving forward, another support call is required. hide

I find the Dot Loop signature system cumbersome and several clients and agents on the other side of ... more I find the Dot Loop signature system cumbersome and several clients and agents on the other side of my transactions have found it too difficult to use. I have been paperless for a decade this summer, so thankfully, we were able to switch to more tested technology and get the job done. Dot Loop is being promoted to the big brand national franchisors as a way to agregate numbers for performance metrics and projections. The signature capability is not as friendly as DocuSign for purposes of getting a signature or initials. Austin and his team seem to want to be responsive to their customers, but I find it troubling that we ran into as many basic design flaws for a platform that was supposedly tested for a very long time. Hopefully future releases will address the needs of AGENTS more than MANAGEMENT. Agengs are the ones negotiating contracts and getting signatures, after all. hide
