MagicPlan is a mobile device application available for Apple and Android devices. It allows you to easily create floorplans using the camera on a mobile device. I've used MagicPlan to create dozens of floorplans for rental properties. These range in size from 500 square feet to over 4,000 square feet. The typical 3bed/2bath home takes about 20 minutes and is accurate to within less than 10 square feet. Not bad! The floorplans can be exported to a detailed PDF and shared with others. It can also be shared directly with Home Depot, making it easy to get pricing for new flooring or other projects. If you are creating a floorplan for sales, rentals, or even your personal home, I can't recommend this product enough. Give it a shot and you'll see it's one of the best inventions for mobile devices!
