I tried this a while back . The system is a system to get you up and running as a successful real estate agent. It includes scripts that you can read from to call up expireds, and renters, etc in order to find new clients and people wanting to purchase at some later date. Looked pretty thorough. My business grew more organically over time, so I did not stick with the system, but for someone without a lot of contacts in the business, or wanting to get ahead more quickly than I did, it is a good system.

Though I came to know about Joe Stumpf after I was introduced to Brian Buffini's systems of working by referrals, I can simply say, working by referrals works for everyone.
I have been introduced to Joe's system in bits and pieces when I subscribed to some of the free training, I do realize it is more or less same as what Brian Buffini teaches us - to work by referral. Just a bit different approach in Joe's systems.

To succeed in real estate, you have to know how to prospect, or you will find yourself paying a boatload to the Zilia's of the world. And this is what By Referral Only teaches you to do.
You'll learn to turn your current and past clients into referral machines, and referrals are a lot better to work with than Internet leads, even from your own web site.
What really impressed me was that he spend half a day of a two day seminar talking about how to be refer-able. And a hint - it's about haveing a quality real estate practice. And the time was spent showing the participants just what that looks like.
The only thing I don't do is his never answer your phone thing. Like I'm too important and busy to take a referral's call? No way! But ignor that, and your life will get better fast!

I attended this program some years ago and it struck me as a well thought out approach, but that given the prospecting component, it failed to take advantage of the "contact" to be as assertive as one might be, in order to tip the balance between appointment and "no appointment". Ultimately, these programs are designed to jump start a "connection" that leads to a transaction - and while this one does a good job - there are others that are more effective IMHO - such as Mike Ferry - or these days - Tom Ferry.

We took this course many years ago.....the convention portion had some interesting speakers. We are always of the mind...if we come away with one good idea, that is a worthwhile experience. We took it a little further and also signed up for the coaching....and from day one told them what our goals were for participation in this program. Not only were the goals not addressed....the manager or director said that the program was designed to provide them to us...geee whiz....would we recommend it...no....not the coaching.

I also return to the products webpages time and time again to determine if and when they're updated, revised or discontinued, including mergers, acquisitions, etc. I encourage you to do the same and stay abreast of recent developments. Being up to date on each product, it's quality, particular standards and level of practical application is simply due diligence that should be performed routinely..

I've been a member of By Referral Only since 2004. Joe Stumpf's By Referral Only teaches a good system for getting leads, listings and buyers. You have to be consistent to make any system work.
The language skills you gain will put you at a level far above most competitors.

Hi, I loved using By Referral Only, I am currently thinking of going back after a 6 month break. I loe there newsletters. They also have a program where you can get on line with Dan Paris one day a week and make yourself accountable to a group. They also encourage you to start a group and be accountable to them. I was in a group with 2 other people. One was a mortgage broker the other a part time agent that was lost. We tried to encourage her but she never would commit to doing what we were working on. There website also has lots of videos, and help if you have questions, you can join at different prices depending on what you want to do. Great Program.

Wow, I started with BRO back in 2004 I believe at a free half day seminar. It was right up my alley, coming from the training industry I loved that he was focused on balance. You must have balance in your life to survive, and he went over how you can manage yourself in a way to get the best of both worlds - business and pleasure!! That was the first part of BRO that connected me, the content of the real estate practice side of it was like none other that I had ever seen. Joe formulated the Before, During, and After process to work on getting referrals through all sources. To learn more of BRO and the BDA, you must attend one of his workshops. I will end with I attended his 3 day events called The Main Event at least 4 times, and I continue to reference his material in my business today - I have been through numerous trainings and I rate BRO at the top!

I currently do not use the By Referral Only program however I have used it in the past and was completely satisfied. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because I haven't used it recently. The reason I stopped using it was a cost cutting measure. What I learned the most from this program more than anything was, your past clients are a gold mine for referrals and repeat business that most agents do not work. Out of sight, out of mind they WILL forget you if you do not stay in touch with them!
