Wherever I travel, I take photographs of homes. My passion for photography sometimes thwarts vacations as I get sidetracked. Instead of shopping at cute boutiques or dining at out-of-the-way cafés, often I end up wandering the streets of a town to admire its picturesque homes, invariably with camera in tow.
Last fall, I noticed the maple trees in Sacramento were beginning to drop their colorful leaves. The sun was sinking lower in the sky toward the afternoon, lending a soft glow on the horizon as light bounced off rooftops.
Suddenly, I felt inspired. It occurred to me that I have spent hours putting together photo galleries of homes along the coast in California and places as far away as France and Italy, yet, I had neglected the very area where I live and sell real estate: the Land Park neighborhood of Sacramento, California.
So, I put together a list of my favorite homes and set forth to take pictures. I really rushed because dusk was approaching; I wanted to include as many Land Park home photos that I could, but I didn’t want shadows to overwhelm these truly magnificent homes.
Land Park boasts homes from the 1920s through the 1940s. There are a few built in decades before and after that range, but the bulk fall within 30 years of each other. Many of these homes have been lovingly restored and updated.
I also noted the sales history of each of these Land Park homes, to give readers a better understanding of Land Park home prices and how the market value of these desirable homes has increased over the past five to seven years. Plus, I have included little known details about the rich history of Land Park.
Here is my photo gallery of Land Park Homes in Sacramento. Please let me know what you think. I am a Land Park resident and I specialize in selling homes in Land Park. If your home is featured, I hope you enjoy what I have to say about it. Many of my friends own these homes. If your home is not featured, and you would like me to take a photograph to include it, just call me at 916.233.6759. Unlike some Land Park agents, I always answer my phone from 7 AM to 7 PM. Any day of the week.
