My son-in-law's aunt knits some very unique things.  One of her most recent endeavors is this hat/wig that my daughter put on my granddaughter the other night.                      Jamie posted it on facebook and a few people have said that they think she looks like a cabbage patch doll.  What do...

I just saw the updated forecast and according to the local NBC station Williamsbug may get up to 12 inches of snow and the low tonight will be 17 degrees!  Williamsburg is on the upper edge of the area that is forecast to get between eight and twelve inches of snow.  It is brutally cold outside too!

I almost couldn't believe my ears when I was watching the local news last night and I heard that there was a blizzard warning in the Norfolk, Virginia area.  I woke up this morning to a winter wonderland in Williamsburg.  Snow is still falling and I plan to stay inside and try to stay warm this w...

I know that Christmas of 2016 is in the history books, but I wanted to share this photo of my grandson after he sat in Santa's lap at Bass Pro Shops.  I guess sitting in Santa's lap is exhausting.  He fell asleep on the way home.  He looks like an angel when he is asleep, but watch out when he is...

Every year, Walt and I enjoy riding throught the Newport News park to see the Celebration in Lights.  There are over 100 miles of lights in this display and each year there seem to be some new displays.   This year was unique as the night that we drove through the display there was a large almost...

Since Christmas Day has come and gone, I have been enjoying spending time with my grandchildren.   My 18 month old grandson is learning how to operate a remote control car which Walt and I got for him.   My granddaughter is happy and quite vocal.    Her mother and I are both pretty outspoken so I...

My daughter and her family came over this afternoon to exchange gifts and have something to eat.  Their 18 month old has such a bad cold that he didn't even want to play with his new toys. I really enjoyed watching my son-in-law, Josh open his gifts. He was very excited about the small drone we g...
