Every time we disparage the state of the economy and talk about the terrible state of real estate, we create a self fulfilling prophesy. It is my view that if we are positive, then positive things will happen. There are great opportunities in the market and it is time to stress the positive, and put a bow on it.

I am working at the Antique Gallery today and really happy for the distraction despite the snow and wind. The last couple of weeks have been full of losses and reflection. Time passes and it doesn't stop no matter what. Moving forward is often difficult but the best and only way I know to honor t...

Life is so very unpredictable. On Thursday I received the kindest and most sincere encouragement from Susan Haughton on one of my posts. Just now I read this posted by her husband saying she is gone. I never met Susan in person but we did speak on the phone. Susan was a wonderful person who often...

I knew winters are long and hard in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts. This winter has been particularly hard and I am so happy to get up knowing the freeze will be over today. There maybe snow and sleet tomorrow but today the sun is out and the winds are elsewhere. One day at a time. Enjoy...

I have had a tough week on a lot of levels. Today I don't have to be anywhere and I am happy to be home with my gang of four rescues. It is still cold and except for a run to the post office I am not going out. Enjoy your day.

It is hard to go to the Vet. When you have older or sick animals there is never any good news at the Vet. Today I have my sick one Billy the Kid with a growth and Margie with what I think is an infection. It is scary and it will be costly too both financially and mostly emotionally. Keep a good t...

I spent the majority of the day running around doing errands and things that had to be done. It is really bitter out and i am glad to be home. The trash is still in the car: I forgot to go to the dump and I'm not going out again. I re-arranged my space at the antique gallery and even hung some cu...

I freely admit to being an old soul. I was as a child and still am. I also like old things and photography is a big hobby of mine. So it isn't a surprise to anyone who knows me even a little that I have a lot of old photos: mostly family and family friends, but not entirely. I see old photos for ...

Some of us support others and some just stand alone and are filled with whatever it is we need to carry or have. In most instances we aren't necessarily sure where we fall but we know that each of us has both cup and saucer moments in us. How do you do with focus? Can you be both a container and ...

It has been a really long and hard winter here in the Berkshires. I have all sorts of critters at all times of the year. Last week the cardinals, largely male, were many and plentiful. At one time there were over a dozen but the red ones chased their female counterparts away. Yesterday the female...

I currently am involved with antiques. I have a space at a local Gallery along with 41 other folks. Some folks think that old things are junk. I am not of that school but not everything that is old is not valuable. Garage sales are full of junk but also on occasion the perfect item is found there...
