Every time we disparage the state of the economy and talk about the terrible state of real estate, we create a self fulfilling prophesy. It is my view that if we are positive, then positive things will happen. There are great opportunities in the market and it is time to stress the positive, and put a bow on it.

Yesterday I couldn't help but notice the neighborhood turkeys were busy trying to stay warm and preening. They were gathered together in the early afternoon when I only had a few minutes before returning to work so I have only two shots. There were no less than a dozen birds but these are the two...
It is always a magical surprise when my plants bloom inside in the winter. Often without just the perfect amount of water the leaves yellow and that is what I thought yesterday morning until I looked carefully. What a blessing. These photos are the flower at different hours of the day. I love it ...
I love to travel, meet new people, explore new areas and learn about things I don't know up close and personal. To that end, I have had more wonderful experiences than anyone could ever hope for. There are so many places I really want to go that should be easy and affordable, but aren't. I hope t...
After a lot of thinking and research, and many failed attempts at other trips, I booked my adventure for 2019. This is a big one and very different, so I'm not sure if there will be another trip next year. Maybe I will just take a short warm weather respite down south this winter. I have been so ...

I had a busy day today. I didn't get everything I wanted to do done, but almost. I am at a point in my life where I do the best I can and then try not to worry about the rest. The best thing about this is there is no guilt and I don't have to account to anyone but myself. Life is good.

It is good for me and I recently spent a couple of hundred bucks on a new printer and someone to download a...
Planning a serious trip is like a full time job. The interviews, the paperwork, and ultimately the decision making: it is no walk in the park. The world is in turmoil, my country is unrecognizable in so many ways, and my retirement funds have lost about 25% in the last six months. So life is comp...
Yesterday was icy and cold. Last night it was snowing in earnest. This morning it is winter a few days early. I am searching for my next adventure and that process is both exhausting and exhilarating. The choices are different than I planned but that is just the way life goes. Stay tuned.
