The FHA secure program is changing how it charges for MIP. Instead of a standard 1.5% of the Loan amount up front they are moving to a risk based flexible formula that will range between 1.25% - 2.25%. The intent is to be able to help more borrowers refinance into FHA loans from the subprime ones
