How's the Real Estate market in your area? The Ottawa Real estate market for January 2018 was pretty strong. We are seeing some multiple offers and lots of showings on the hot new listings.
I was showing houses to clients last week and within 24 hours of showing 2 hot new listings, there were multiple offers and it was too late! I also sold a new listing within 7 days with 20 showings, 7 offers and it sold for over asking, a lot over asking.

kw: Oh where oh where did my contractor go?

We hear the stories all the time. I hired a contractor, gave them a big deposit, they came in and did a bit of work, then asked for more money and then.... nothing!! The "contractor" can never be reached again. You are out of money with a messy house and nothing is being done.
There are even television shows that talk about how contractors take the money and run. In my experience, not every contractor is like that. There are many great ones out there. You just need to be able to ask the right questions.
