I am a retired Greater Sacramento Realtor. My career spanned 40 years beginning in 1981, and ending in 2021. MY INTERESTS & HOBBIES: In addition to family activities, I am active in a Sacramento history group, and a local Sacramento area genealogy group. I actively research several family names. I also have a special love of cooking. For several years, I worked at an international software development company, which was represented by people from all over the globe. During that time, I was fortunate enough to learn special recipes from a number of them. They include, Indian, Caribbean, Spanish, Italian, Mexican, Romanian, Hungarian, Irish, and Carolina "Low Country" recipes. I have developed a special interest in mixing certain recipes from varying ethnic groups to create unique recipes and combinations not usually seen. Another of my favorite pastimes is gardening. And, I often find myself spending hours in my garden, and wondering where time has gone! I am interested in photography and cameras. This interest began as a child, and has remained and was perpetuated in my Real Estate career, family activities, and travel. Last but not least, I enjoy travel - both foreign and domestic.

I guess I'm enough of a born again pagan that I will always look forward to the first day of spring.  Today, I found myself driving around a bit mindlessly, simply enjoying early signs the earth is waking from its long winter nap.  The sun is out, and the blue sky has chosen to hold court to a nu...

If one needed be reminded what the most important thing in life is, I was given a reminder last Friday. It was a little before noon when I quickly became really ill.  It was as if my body gathered up every bit of moisture in my body and was urgently expelling it from nearly every orifice of my bo...

After a few days of high winds, and extremely ugly weather here in Sacramento, the sun and blue skies peeking through the kitchen window this morning, were a welcome sight.  It was a pleasant opportunity for my grandson Baron and I to find a seat in the car and go for a little drive.  There was n...

I suspect there are more than few folks who wish to gladly kick 2020 to the curb, and welcome 2021 with open arms.  I certainly know I'm one of those who is.  While, there have been the 2020 blessing of spending time in isolation to contemplating thing in life of greater importance, there's also ...

Finding activities to help inspire the Christmas spirit, may not be quite as easy this year, but they do exist!Last evening, Baron (my grandkid) and I, decided to take a little drive up to Darvel Court, in nearby Folsom.  The residents of this cul-de-sac, certainly outdid themselves while puttin...

I'm having a really normal day here in Sacramento.  My grandkid, Baron, arrived a couple days ago.  After leaving Reno the first of the month, he spent time with his dad doing a little ranch hand work while isolated in Arbuckle, California. That made it more safe for him to then come here, to spe...
