Median price, at $1.7 million held relatively firm over both time periods. At $1,188, loft average price per square foot increased 6% from both Second Quarter 2011 and Third Quarter 2010. Price growth was most prevalent in the 2,500-plus square foot category; median price increased 11% from last quarter and 13% from a year ago.

soho: SOHO: Manhattan Neighborhood "Localism" Dedicated to Laurie Manny

This is an update of a post inspired by my friend Laurie Manny. It was a bitter cold freezing New York day when I took the photos. I had to take off my gloves and the camera froze but it was worth it!
Rest in Peace, Laurie. I will always think of you when I'm in Soho and when ever I write about a local neighborhood.

Soho is a premiere destination for the world's trendiest jet setters, New York's SoHo district has something to offer just about everyone. Bordered to the North by Houston Street, to the South by Canal Street, to the West by Sixth Avenue and to the East by Broadway. Soho is characterized by the imposing cast-iron architecture of the late 19th Century that was built for manufacturing and warehousing.
