The Upper West Side extends north from 72nd Street up to 96th Street and is bordered by Central Park West and Riverside Park. There are two #2 and #3 express subway stops on the Upper West Side at 72nd Street and 96th Street on Broadway. Both station head houses have have been recently renovated. The 96th Street station has a futuristic looking glass dome. The new station opened but is expected to be completed next year. Both stations are located in the Broadway median.
