lynda eisenmann: Coming Home…A Visitor’s Look at Fort Smith, Arkansas ~ Part I - 04/22/07 03:02 PM
On a recent trip to Northern Arkansas I visited the town of Fort Smith located at the Arkansas River which separates this state from Oklahoma.  Our trip was memorable for me in many ways. Fort Smith is my birthplace and home to my Mother's family for years.  My family left Arkansas for California over 50 years ago, so my only memory is a couple of visits to family members and hearing the many stories of family.

My trip was shared with wonderful friends.  I'm sharing some of the sights we experienced.

Ft. Smith was the gateway to the West and the … (2 comments)

lynda eisenmann: 2007 L.A. Marathon! 26.2 miles-52,000 feet pounding the pavement. - 03/06/07 03:43 AM

This year's L.A. Marathon began with a brand new course beginning at Universal Studios Hollywood.
Over 26,000 participants endured the warm sunny day.  It was thought the new course, (touting the downhill grade at times) would bring about new record times. Not  so!  It was actually one of the slower paces in recent history.  The men's winner was almost 9 minutes behind the course record. The women's top athlete finished almost 12 minutes over the prior record. Something somewhat unheard of at the professional level.
As usual, it was a fun event with street performers and great spectator participation encouraging you along.

lynda eisenmann: Going the distance in real estate? - 03/05/07 03:04 PM
Yesterday I ran in the L.A. Marathon.  Finishing a marathon can be a fun event. As with life, and in real estate, for me it's about the experience.  This year with a brand new course, and 26,000 participants.
We jogged though the best and the worst of L.A. neighborhoods. In addition we passed some of the cities famous landmarks.
As much as I loved seeing the finish line after pounding the payment for hours, it's the journey that is the real payoff.  This year I took some photos along the way.
The goal, to always finish, period, even if I have … (8 comments)
